WORKSHOP - LIMITED CLASS SIZE
REGISTER EARLY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT

Start off with Export Documentation - the “in’s and out’s” of exporting, the necessary export documentation and procedures, the U.S. export requirements and everything that is involved with an international transaction.  Increase your understanding of what Incoterms are. Do you know the full implications of selecting the wrong Incoterms for your shipments? Incoterms define the role of the buyer and seller in the sales transaction and identify where the seller’s risks end (do they end?) and the buyer’s risks begin. Gain a working knowledge of international methods of payment, their applicability, advantages and disadvantages.  Become an expert on documentary collections and particularly Letters of Credit as they are not going away. Master the Letter of Credit process, including application; use of Incoterms in Letters of Credit; guidelines and rules; the new UCP 600; review process - what to do once you have received an L/C; creation and presentation of credit compliant documents; discrepancies – how to spot them, avoid them and deal with them; standby letters of credit… and much more. Work on Case Studies - real life situations and applications of the topics covered in the program.

This workshop is a must for professionals involved in all areas of export sales, including Credit and Finance, Contract Negotiations, Logistics and Documentation Preparation.Whether you are new to the international arena and want to learn more, or an experienced veteran in international business and just a little rusty on your knowledge of these topics, the FCIB Working Seminar is for you.
