Bruce Berton, a Principal and Director of International Business Consulting, provides consulting services domestically as well as internationally. His industry concentrations are textile/apparel, manufacturing/ distribution, retail, international site selection, US customs/treaty regulations, international legal services, and international accounting due diligence services. Since 1960, Bruce has been a hands-on apparel industry executive and consultant with diverse manufacturing, retail and importing expertise. Bruce assists clients with NAFTA documentation; strategic alliance programs; legal and customs issues; financial and budget planning; cost advantages; development of Mexico and US management; treaty regulations of NAFTA, CAFTA, CBI, and AGOA; labor compliance and code of conduct regulations; and cross-cultural communication, exporting and importing. He worked in China, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Mexico, and the Philippines for over 40 years. Bruce is a senior advisor and board member of the Export Textile Advisor Commission (ETAC), under the U.S. Department of Commerce/Trade.

  David P. Damron, CCE, CICP,  is the National Credit Manager at Falken Tire Corporation.  Mr. Damron has  more than 17 years of professional experience and  specializes in analytics, credit extension, and stock evaluation. He is responsible for all credit policy and procedures, performing financial evaluations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Mr. Damron has taught a seminar called 'Understanding the Basics in Financial and Ratio Analysis.' Mr. Damron, a certified international credit professional, earned his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1990. He became a certified credit executive through the National Association of Credit Management. He has also been recognized by Who's Who Among American High School Students and Cambridge Who's Who . He stays current with the trends in his profession by enrolling in continuing education courses and attending training programs.
 

Jeff Jankowiak is a Partner in the firm of International Risk Consultants, Inc. headquartered in Columbus, Ohio and Glasgow, Scotland. The firm specializes in credit and political risk insurance, credit risk mitigation and trade finance structuring. Previous to joining IRC, Jeff was Vice President of Marketing, Finance and Administration at Cozzini, Inc., a capital equipment manufacturer for the food industry. Jeff also serves on FCIB's North American Advisory Board.

 

Sanjiv Saghvi is president and chief executive officer of the Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank. Trade Bank—named one of "The Major Trade Banks" by World Trade magazine in April 2004—is an equity joint venture between Wells Fargo and the HSBC Group. The only nationally chartered bank dedicated exclusively to international trade, Trade Bank helps U.S. companies increase their overseas sales while mitigating risk and accelerating cash flow through its network spanning 10,000 offices in more than 83 countries and territories. A financial services vetran with more than 18 years of banking industry experience, Sanjiv joined Wells Fargo & Co. in 1989 as a commercial banking relationship manager. Subsequently he became the regional vice president and head of commercial banking for Wells Fargo's Puget Sound region. In 2001 Sanjiv led the bank's treasury management product and wholesale marketing teams. He was promoted to his current position in 2004. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Sanjiv is involved in many communtiy and professional organizations and was named one of the "100 Most Influential People in Finance" by Treasury & Risk Management magazine in 2004. Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Sanjiv went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He currently resides in Oakland, California with his whife and daughter.

  Ed Sauve is Senior Advisor for the Global Financial Services Group of Silicon Valley Bank and he has 20 plus years of commercial banking experience including provision of credit and delivery of a wide variety of financial services to small business, middle market, institutional and multi-national companies. International banking experience included assignments in London, Middle East, & Hong Kong. He opened Middle East Area Representative office for First Interstate Bank in the United Arab Emirates and led the program to obtain license to open its bank office in Beijing, China. Domestic experience includes management of regional corporate centers in Los Angeles and the South Bay for Wells Fargo/First Interstate as well as regional responsibility for marketing Silicon Valley Bank’s short-term money market capabilities in Southern California. Transaction experience includes areas such commercial lending, cash management, corporate finance, short-term money market investments, and international banking. With 70% of SVB’s client base conducting international business his present role is to work with SVB prospects and clients to ensure the banking and financial needs of their overseas expansion are met. Silicon Valley Bank is dedicated to serving technology and life science companies from very early stages through mature multi-national publicly owned corporations. SVB is the only full service commercial bank with management and resources focussed on these niche market segments. The bank has long-standing relationships with venture capital, professional service and entrepreneurial communities on a national scale.
